We are Jim & Yolanda Couch from Willis Texas

We met in 1979 in Odessa Texas. Yolanda was a VOE student that worked a half day in the office of the electrical contractor I worked for. I was a Lineman/Electrician and was climbing poles and building baseball fields for the contractor. It was a mix of high voltage work and control work for the scoreboards etc. We started dating around Halloween that year and by New Years I knew she was the one for me so I asked her to marry me. We waited until she graduated from high school and got married Jun 21st, 1980. We have been together ever since and have lived most of our married life here in Texas.

I retired in 2012 due to a back injury and eventually had surgery to correct the problems in 2014. I'm a Vietnam Veteran (Navy Aviation Electricians Mate), 7 years older than her. I was an electrician for 20 years after the Navy and then hung up the tool pouch for a keyboard in 1995 to become an Information Systems Specialist and Network Administrator for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. I spent the next 20 years in the Information Technology business.

Yolanda retired April 30th 2021, she was an Analytical AP Specialist for a major oil company. She has over 40 years in the accounting field all together.

We raised two beautiful ladies and currently have five grandsons.

We love to fish, garden, make things, camp/RV, hike and we love to travel and meet people.
